Dave, The wood he normally use for the table top are merbau, chengal and keranji as these are tropical hard wood so it will need a lot of chiseling and grinding and burring before sanding with an electric sander and finally manually before the paint work. Here are some of his tools and a table may take a month or so to complete if he is free since it 's just his part time hobby.
Glad to hear about the new permanent roof for your work area. Working outdoors can be an inconvenience during the rainy season. Hey, don't worry too much about the downtime at your tea table projects. I am sure you will be able to catch up in no time. :)
photography is quite a common and interesting hobby these days, especially for the youths :)

I am interested to know how hard is it for your brother to actually work with the wood shown in the photos?
ReplyDeleteWhat particular wood does he normally use for his projects?
